What is Telemedicine?
Telemedicine refers to medical or psychotherapeutic care, counseling, and treatment using exclusively communication media, without the practitioner and patient meeting in person.
Legal Basis
Telemedicine has been permitted in Germany since 2018 under certain conditions. The professional code for physicians and psychotherapists regulates the conduct of telemedicine services.
Requirements for Telemedicine
- There is already an established physician-patient relationship, or
- Telemedicine is medically appropriate and sufficient medical history can be obtained
- The patient is of legal age and has consented to telemedicine
- It does not involve emergency treatment
Limitations of Telemedicine
Telemedicine is not suitable for:
- Acute emergencies and medical crises
- Situations requiring a physical examination
- Initial consultations without prior personal contact (except in certain exceptions)
- Prescription of certain prescription medications (exceptions possible)

By booking an online appointment, you confirm that you have been informed about the specifics of telemedicine and consent to its use.
Data Protection and Technical Security
We use encrypted video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet) that meet legal data protection requirements. However, technical disruptions may occur that could affect treatment.
